Working on Fire (WOF) will be present at the 1st Aspex Bahia Florestal. Daniel Santos, a founding partner of WoF Brasil and the financial manager of Working on Fire for Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay, will give a lecture on “Detection of forest fires. September 1, to show the company’s differential in the fight against forest fires.

Daniel Santos has more than 15 years of management experience working in the areas of Finance, Logistics, Corporate Purchasing, Projects, Consulting, Human Resources and Structuring of Nascent Companies. Administrator at PUC-Rio, post-graduate in Management and Projects from FIA-SP and currently studying Accounting at PUCCampinas. The 1st Aspex Bahia Florestal starts this Wednesday, 31, and runs until Friday, September 2, in Eunápolis, Bahia.

Working on Fire is a company of the South African group Kishugu. Its founding partners have more than 30 years of experience in integrated fire management services. Currently, there are around 9,000 professionals worldwide, approximately 80 aircraft, more than 300 fire fighting vehicles and fronts in the various areas of integrated fire management.

WOF uses two powerful systems for forest monitoring: The FireHawk system, the world’s leading remote monitoring and forest monitoring and fire detection tool, capturing images with HD cameras. FireHawk works with digital communication and is controlled by a team in a monitoring center.

The Advanced Fire Information System (AFS) is an integrator and compiler of various sources of information, such as satellites, weather stations, monitoring camera images and even information collected from different users’ smartphones. Today, WoF is implementing a project with 11 cameras in Três Lagoas, Mato Grosso do Sul, (approximately 1/3 already in operation) and FireHawk has contracted to deploy until mid-March, 2017, plus another 37 cameras in Its continent of origin.
